This library is central to the Northeast community. Located on Central Avenue, a main commercial avenue, it draws families, students, business people, and others from a wide area. Many languages are spoken here; students whose first language is not English are regular visitors to the Homework Helper program.

As the area continues to grow and change, the promising future of Northeast Library may include improvements in collaboration with other nearby development.

Building facts

Built 1973 (to replace former Central Avenue branch, a Carnegie library built in 1915). One level; 15,600 sq. ft.; parking lot entered from 22nd Ave.
