Using Computers at the Library
The journey to knowledge increasingly depends on computerized connections to new worlds of information. Libraries serve as the on-ramp to the information superhighway, bringing 'cyberspace' down to earth and within reach for everyone in the community. The Minneapolis Public Library provides workstations for World Wide Web browsing at all locations. The library's Web pages provide users with easy access to recommended Internet search tools and Our Selected WebLinks: a well-organized subject list of Internet links by topic.
Internet workstations are available for use during regular library hours, except when reserved for tutoring. Sign-up is required.

A variety of other online and CD-ROM resources are available at the Central and Community Libraries. Ask at any service desk for more information.
(Note: if you have overdue fines or replacement charges exceeding $50.00, you will not be able to use Internet computers inside the Library.)
